Soda Ash

Soda ash used in smelting operation of Lead as a chemical flux or reducing agent in lead recovery.

Iron (as Fe, on dry base) : 0.004% Max
Insoluble matter in Water : 0.04% Max.
Sulphate (as SO4, on dry base) : .03%

Properties:
White Powdered Crystals, true specific gravity 2.533 (20 °C), Bulk Density 0.45 – 0.60, easily soluble in water, most soluble at 35.4°C, the aqueous solution appears strong alkalinity. In exposure to air it easily absorbs moisture, carbon dioxide and gradually to form sodium hydrogen carbonate and to form a cake.
